Getting started
Building a project with Merlin is a breeze. You can start from a blank canvas or simply choose from one of the excellent in-built templates. A myriad of import possibilities provides for a seamless implementation, supporting MS Project (mpp, mpx, xml) format, as well as OmniOutliner, NovaMind, MindManager and even Microsoft Excel.
Merlin Basics
Merlin breaks down the complex project layout into 3 main views:
Traditional GANT or PERT charts are available in the Activity and Net plan views. The Utilisation view provides at a glance, information on which resources are perfectly utilised, which have free capacities and all those in-between.
The intuitive drag and drop interface allows you to simply and effectively manipulate the project structure, and have a complete overview of your activities and resources. A utilisation histogram is available for each resource and can be expanded further to provide information on the individual tasks.
Merlin and OSX
Merlin is made for Mac OSX and has a real 'Mac' feel. It provides integration with Spotlight, iCal and Address Book and other excellent Mac applications like Marketcircles Daylite.
